To swim amongst dolphins and seals is one of the great experiences of life. Swimming in their natural environment, not far from the coast of Melbourne, you can watch them, hear them, and just delight in them. The resident seals and dolphins of Port Phillip Bay are so close, yet another world!

Whether you choose to swim with the seals and dolphins or just observe them from the comfort of the boat, you will never forget this amazing experience.

Our cruises commence with an introductory on-board snorkel demonstration, after which we travel out into the sheltered shallows of Port Phillip Bay. We then head off to Chinaman's Hat where you can put your newfound skills into action, a local spot where the ever curious Australian fur seals are waiting to share the water world with you. You will get to swim with the seals for approximately 25 minutes before continuing on your cruise.

From Chinaman's Hat, we cruise over to Popes Eye, (Marine National Park) for a look at the Australasian Gannets and a 30 minute snorkel around Victoria’s oldest marine national park.

From there on, we cruise magnificent Port Phillip Bay in search of the inspiring bottle-nosed dolphins that we call our friends. When the dolphins are located, it's on with your mask and snorkel and you enter the water, swimming into their domain. You will get to swim with the dolphins for 4 x 10 minute intervals. This is truly an awesome experience and one you will never forget!

As all our cruises are weather dependent please allow for some flexibility due to weather and water conditions. While our guests have been enjoying our 94% success rate of swimming with the dolphins, it must be appreciated that there are no guarantees or refunds.

Whether sightseeing or snorkelling, your seal and dolphin encounter on board our boat will be one to remember forever.

Guidelines:

You must be able to swim to participate in this experience. For children's prices see MD434. You must fill in a medical form and disclose any medical conditions you may have prior to swimming.

Numbers:

This price quoted is for one adult. We take a maximum of 30 people out for this experience and there is never anymore than 10 people in the water at any one time with the dolphins. Child prices are also available, please refer to product code MD434.

Weather:

All cruises are weather dependent. Please provide a mobile phone number so that we may contact you on the day of your cruise. If cruises are cancelled due to weather, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. Cancelled experiences will be rescheduled for a later date.

Session Length:

Cruises operates daily from September - May each year. This is the most reliable time for dolphin sightings. Cruises are three hours in duration. We recommend that you book at least one or two weeks in advance of your preferred date. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.
