Discover the beautiful Mornington Peninsula during this full day sea kayak adventure. Starting off at Mothers Beach, we paddle either north or south, stopping for lunch at a lovely location along the way. During this sea kayak adventure you'll learn about wildlife, the environment and local history.

Mornington is a vibrant seaside town. It's steeped in history and acts as a gateway to the greater Mornington Peninsula, with its lovely beaches, vineyards and sweeping landscapes.

Your sea kayak adventure leaves from Mothers Beach in Mornington, a beach protected from the prevailing winds, providing a great starting point for kayaking beginners. We start the day with a short discussion, covering topics such as lunch breaks, distance and weather conditions. You are kitted up with a PFD (Personal Flotation Device), spray deck, paddle jacket, thermals and a paddle. We then proceed with the all-important safety briefing which includes a dry capsize drill.

Once you have done a few warm-up stretches, you are paired with paddling partners. Most sea kayaks are double sea kayaks, however we have a couple of single kayaks available for more experienced paddlers. After spending 30-60 minutes going through some basic strokes, we'll set off on our kayak adventure, paddling as a group.

During your sea kayak adventure the group will either travel north, stopping for lunch at Canadian Bay, or tour south, stopping for lunch at Mt Martha. You guide will provide commentary on the natural environment and local history and you might see dolphins, seals, sea eagles, cormorants, fish, boat wrecks, historical buildings, marinas and yachts along the way. About halfway through the trip we stop for lunch - food and drinks are provided.

At the end of the day we return to our launch point and pack the gear away. You can then change into some warm clothes for the journey home!
